HISTORIC PROVENANCE
This chandelier from The Met x Eichholtz collection pays tribute to an early example of a so-called composite capital from the temple of Amun at Hibis combining papyrus and foxtail motifs. The glass elements on this reinterpretation reflect the vertical rhythm and botanical ornamentation on the original piece, blending Egyptian designs with refined contemporary craftsmanship.
